Segment Growth Manager - Buildings

Currently we are seeking Segment Growth Manager - Buildings.
- The chosen person will be responsible for defining and driving the strategic direction of the Building segment for PMCC across the EMEA region.
- Acting as the critical bridge between segment leadership, regional business development, Product line and sales zones, this role translates global segment priorities into actionable PMCC strategies and ensures consistent execution across all zones.
- The position focuses on developing compelling go-to-market strategies, value propositions, and solution positioning for Eaton's Power Management Control Components portfolio, enabling regional and zone teams to win in the market.
This position requires candidates to be based in Austria,Hungary, Czech Republic or Poland
What you'll do
- Drive PMCC segment growth strategies, aligning segment priorities with PMCC business objectives, portfolio direction and growth ambitions.
- Accountable on end-to-end profitable growth for the assigned segment within PMCC, from strategy definition through execution, and be accountable for growth outcomes rather than for strategy deliverables alone.
- Identify and prioritise PMCC-specific market opportunities, applications, customer needs, competitive trends and whitespace opportunities, translating them into actionable growth plans and strategic initiatives.
- Develop PMCC segment roadmaps, value propositions, go-to-market strategies and market activation plans to accelerate profitable growth in the assigned segment.
- Translate PMCC strategy into segment growth plays and commercial priorities, define new product introduction commercial plans covering launch readiness, value proposition and pricing logic, and build business cases for market entry and strategic partnerships.
- Build and maintain segment playbooks that carry both technical and commercial depth, including winning books, application guides, technical influencing growth plans and , specification language for consultants and end users, and value-based arguments, and deploy them to sales and channel teams.
- Secure and steer the specialist technical resources required to produce and maintain this content, defining priorities, standards and delivery timelines for technical-commercial deliverables across the segment.
- Ensure execution across zones by driving segment funnel and forecast discipline with sales teams, supporting high-risk strategic negotiations at key accounts, and optimising the direct, distribution and hybrid channel model for the segment.]
- Orchestrate the full cross-functional chain required to deliver segment growth: align demand and top-line forecasts with Supply Chain and Manufacturing to secure capacity, lead times and delivery performance; work with Finance and Pricing on business cases, price realisation and margin trade-offs; engage Engineering and Product Management on portfolio and application requirements; and partner with Quality and Customer Support on escalation and customer experience standards.
- Act as the strategic link between segment leadership, PMCC Commercial, Product Management, Marketing and the regional sales organisations, ensuring alignment on growth priorities and execution plans.
- Enable sales teams with PMCC-focused market intelligence, customer insights, application expertise and best practices, ensuring consistent execution across zones.
- Close the loop on performance by leading win/loss and structural gap analysis for the segment and securing corrective actions from respective functions.
- Influence without direct authority across the matrix organisation, acting as a trusted advisor to PMCC leadership on growth opportunities, commercial risk and trade-offs.
- Build the organizational capabilities required to execute the segment strategy for the division, including methodologies, governance, commercial tools, role clarity, stakeholder routines and targeted coaching of teams.
- Determine and mobilize the cross-functional resources and external expertise required to deliver priority growth initiatives, establishing clear deliverables, governance, standards and decision points.
Qualifications and skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field required.
- Master's degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in business development, marketing, product management, sales, or strategy (highly preferred) within industrial, electrical, or manufacturing industries.
- Proven experience designing or improving operating models, governance structures, decision processes or organizational capabilities supporting commercial growth.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and build capabilities through coaching, structured methodologies and organizational development.
- Demonstrated experience leading high-priority, cross-functional initiatives from strategy and business-case development through implementation and measurable business impact.
- Knowledge of low-voltage electrical distribution, industrial control, and power management applications.
- Understanding of PMCC products, solutions, channels, and target market segments across EMEA.
- Familiarity with market analysis, competitive intelligence, pricing, and value-based selling methodologies.
- Ability to interpret technical and application requirements and translate them into commercial growth opportunities.
